All government and private schools and colleges in Jalandhar district have been ordered to remain closed on May 9 and 10, according to DC Jalandhar. This decision has been taken due to the upcoming Jalandhar Lok Sabha elections on May 10.
Polling booths have to be prepared on May 9, and polling parties also need to visit the booths with EVM machines that need to be installed.
