Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will be reaching Jalandhar on 15th January 2023. The Yatra will start from Lovely Professional University at 6 am and will reach BMC Chowk at 3:30 in noon. Jalandhar Commissionerate and rural police have issued certain guidelines regarding the traffic and routes diverted due to the yatra.
Reportedly, the traffic going from Jalandhar-Phagwara to Ludhiana will go to Ludhiana via bypass Banga, Nawan Shahr road. Similarly, the traffic coming from Ludhiana to Jalandhar will reach Jalandhar via Sidhwan Bet, Mehtpur, Nakodar from Ludhiana. Similarly, small vehicles (one-way) going from Jalandhar-Phagwara to Ludhiana will go to Gorayan, Phillaur and Ludhiana from Konica Resort. As per the guidelines, the traffic going from Ludhiana-Phagwara to Hoshiarpur will reach Hoshiarpur via Mehtiana from Phagwara. Traffic going from Ludhiana-Phagwara to Amritsar will reach Amritsar from Phagwara to Mehtiana, Adampur, Bhogpur to Tanda, Sri Hargobindpur. Apart from this, Heavy traffic coming from Ludhiana to Jalandhar, Kapurthala will reach Jalandhar, Kapurthala via Nakodar from Phillaur. Similarly, the traffic coming from Ludhiana-Phagwara to Jalandhar and Kapurthala will reach Jalandhar via the 66-foot road from Jandiala to Jamsher via Satnampura from Phagwara Sugar Mill Chowk.
Traffic going from Jalandhar to Phagwara will reach Phagwara via 66 feet road from Jalandhar to Jamsher, Jandiala to Satnampura. Similarly, the traffic coming from Hoshiarpur to Jalandhar will reach Jalandhar via Adampur to Jandusingha, Lam Pind Chowk to Y Point Bhagat Singh Colony-Maksoodan Chowk to Workshop Chowk. Traffic going from Jalandhar to Pathankot will reach Pathankot via Kartarpur, Beas, Batala via Gurdaspur via Pathankot Chowk flyover.
The Commissionerate police has appealed to the people to follow the diverted routes from 7 am on January 15 till the end of the journey.
