The Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, Swapan Sharma IPS, held a highly informative meeting with eminent industrialists/business men of the city. The purpose of this meeting was to gather detailed feedback and suggestions regarding the ongoing encroachment removal process. The meeting was held in a cordial and professional environment, and the industrialists/business men were given ample time to express their opinions and provide valuable feedback. The Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, listened to their suggestions and assured them that every effort will be made to address their concerns. It was assured that strict action will be taken against the violators of traffic rules to ensure smooth traffic.
Those included in the meeting include: Ramesh Mittal from Lovely Group, Nitin Kohli from Tracer Shoes, Sudarshan Sharma from HR tools, Sukhdev Singh from AGI group, Varindra Singh, Sukant Trivedi from Trivedi Overseas, CA Manoj Soni, CA Rajeev Makol, Mr. Arora from Ambassador Hotel, Rice Sheller Association’s Jaipal Midda, Advocate Manan Soni, Deepak Singhal, Pankaj Singhal, Gaurav Shoor, Baljinder Tadda, Income Tax Advocate Dinesh Sarna, Shamindra Uppal and Anil Mehta.
The industrialists advised the Commissioner that illegal encroachments and unlicensed street vendors on the road should be removed and that action against them is a commendable step. They also appealed to the Commissioner to stop theft, snatching and hooliganism.
The Commissioner said that illegal occupations and disrupted traffic is a problem for every citizen. He further said that every shopkeeper should not display their products out in the road as they also disrupt the traffic. The citizens are also urged to park their vehicles on the road in an appropriate was as to not disrupt the flow of traffic.
The Commissioner said that in the coming days, the commissionerate Police is working to improve the system and end crime in the city. He has appealed to every citizen for cooperation with the Police.
