Jalandhar, Ludhiana bound Delhi-Asr Shatabdi Express cancelled due to heavy fog

The Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi train for Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Amritsar in Punjab was cancelled by the Railways. Today this train will not come in all three districts. Due to the heavy blanket of fog over the past couple of days, Shatabdi train was running behind schedule by more than 5 hours. The decision to cancel it had been taken in light of this.

 

According to the information received, this train has been cancelled only for Wednesday. Shatabdi Express (12029) running from Delhi to Amritsar and Shatabdi Express (12030) running from Amritsar to Delhi will not reach Jalandhar, Amritsar and Ludhiana today. However, from Thursday both the trains will again run on their scheduled time.

 

The scheduled time of Shatabdi Express arriving at Jalandhar City Railway Station on Tuesday is 12 am to reach Jalandhar. But the said train reached Jalandhar on Tuesday at around 7.30 pm. Similarly, the Shatabdi train, which runs in the evening, left for Delhi from Jalandhar City station at 11 pm. Its scheduled time is 6 pm.

 

More than 500 passenger tickets are reported to be cancelled due to this decision. The passengers will be refunded the amount of their tickets.
