Voting is being conducted peacefully for a total of 137 wards, including 85 wards of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, 13 wards of the Bhogpur Municipal Council, 13 wards of the Goraya Municipal Council, 1 ward of the Phillaur Municipal Council, 11 wards of the Bilga Nagar Panchayat, 13 wards of the Shahkot Nagar Panchayat, and 1 ward of the Mehatpur Nagar Panchayat. Two wards (Ward Nos. 1 and 3) of the Bilga Nagar Panchayat have already been unanimously decided. A total of 28.2% voting for MC, 42.3% for council and 40.2% for panchayat has been recorded till 1 pm in Jalandhar.
