Ever since coronavirus pandemic has gripped the nation, Jalandhar district of Punjab has maintained its status by being coronavirus hotspot. Despite strict enforcement of lockdown+ (curfew), cases have never shown a decline, raising concerns for health authorities and district administration.
Jalandhar on Wednesday has witnessed a sudden spurt in the number of coronavirus cases as 40 people have fallen prey to the infection with which total count now stands at 1769. So far, 33 people have succumbed to the infection.
