Senior Superintendent of Police Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh informed that the operation was executed under the supervision of DSP Adampur, Sumit Sood, following a tip-off. The police team, led by SHO Sikander Singh, managed to nab the accused and seize significant evidence linked to his criminal activities.

"The Police team spotted the suspect on an Activa scooter. When signalled to stop, he attempted to flee, leading to a chase. The team successfully apprehended the accused after a brief pursuit," SSP Khakh stated.

Among the items recovered were an Activa scooty used in the crimes, a smartwatch worth ₹25,000, five high-end mobile phones including a OnePlus touch mobile, a wallet containing cash, and a data card suspected to be associated with illegal activities.

The arrested individual will be produced in the local court, where the police will seek his remand for further interrogation, as additional recoveries are anticipated. The police team expect to uncover more information about potential street crime activities as the investigation progresses.

“Street crime will not be tolerated, and Jalandhar Rural will continue to act decisively against those who threaten the safety of our citizens,” SSP Khakh asserted.
