Jalandhar Rural Police has addressed recent media reports regarding a USA deportee from Landra village, stating that a thorough inquiry confirmed his presence at home.
Providing details, Senior Superintendent of Police Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said that Davinder Singh, son of Ram Das, a resident of Landra village, Phillaur, had returned home last night after being deported from the United States. As per his family’s statement, he left for a relative’s house at 5 a.m. today.
Upon noticing reports suggesting his disappearance, DSP Phillaur Sarwan Singh Bal and SHO Phillaur Police Station Sanjeev Kapoor promptly initiated an inquiry.
It was learned that media representatives had approached him for an interview, to avoid that, he traveled from his house to his in-laws at Phagwara and later to his other relative at Garhshankar. Meanwhile, when the police party enquired about his whereabouts from his family, he was eventually traced back at his residence.
