As per latest information received, a deadly accident took place in Kukkad village of Jalandhar due to which 2 people lost their lives while other two got brutally injured. Investigation has been initiated by police.
Reportedly, 4 laborers were returning from work when a high-speeding vehicle came from behind and hit them badly. Out of 4, 2 died on the spot while 2 others were severely injured after which they were admitted to hospital by police officials. Driver of vehicle instead of helping them, fled from scene.
Soon after this, police were informed about accident who then reached the spot and sent bodies of deceased to hospital. As per information, police are looking for the vehicle and its driver that crushed the laborers to death. A case against driver of vehicle was also registered.
ASI Vijay Kumar of Police Station Jalandhar Sadar revealed that four laborers were heading to their home from work and in a meanwhile, a high-speed unknown vehicle crushed all four. Two people died on the spot in the accident, while the condition of two is critical.
Deceased were identified as Harjinder Thakur (50) and Vikas Kumar (16), both residents of village Hardo Farla. Both of them were originally residents of village Digya Ramkapati in Bihar.
