Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma himself went to the field this morning and inspected the police stations in the city. During this, he learned about the functioning of the employees and officers at the police station level and asked for improvement in many places. During this, CP Swapan Sharma's sudden checking without any information created a stir among the police personnel. A video surfaced in which he can be seen instructing the police personnel to write the complaints in the register correctly.

According to the information received, this morning Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma suddenly reached Police Station Division Number-6. Where he checked the crime register and checked the entries. After which CP Sharma talked to the SHO about investigation on the technical angle.

Similarly, CP Sharma did checking in Police division Number-4. Along with this, the CP also inspected the lockup in division-4. Videos of the checking have also surfaced, in which CP Sharma is seen interrogating the officers. After the inspection, the CP left from there with his team.

The CP said, “This is being done for good policing in the city. So that the employees and officers remain alert at all times.” The commissioner further added that this was a routine check being done on attendance of police personnel, crime diary, cleanliness of police stations and other works. The CP gave the order to clean up the police station and the parking and impound lot.

CP said that this has nothing to do with the code of conduct. He said that Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADCP) Aditya has been given instructions regarding the matter. A proposal has been made regarding building a new police station Model Town.
