In a major development, Pastor Bajinder Singh on Friday was found guilty in sexual harassment case by a court in Mohali. Jalandhar-based pastor Bajinder Singh who often goes viral on social media was convicted by a Mohali court today (Friday) in a case of sexual assault against a woman from Zirakpur. The court has scheduled the pronouncement of his sentence i.e. punishment on April 1, 2025. Pastor Bajinder Singh, who was named in the case of raping the woman, appeared in the court on Monday. After that day's appearance, the court had reserved the decision.
For the unversed, Zirakpur police had filed an FIR against Pastor Bajinder Singh and seven others based on the victim's complaint. The other individuals named in the case are Akbar Bhatti, Rajesh Chaudhary, Sucha Singh, Jatinder Kumar, Sitar Ali, and Sandeep alias Pahalwan. They were booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 420 (cheating), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 294 (obscene acts or songs), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), and 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of 1 offence committed in prosecution of common object). 2 The pastor had been arrested in this case previously.

A few days back, a video of Pastor Bajinder Singh went viral in which he was seen assaulting a woman and man in his office. As per reports, the video that went viral was of 14 February. The incident took place in Bajinder Singh's Chandigarh office. After the video surfaced, it was found that the woman who was beaten up was a resident of Mohali. She used to work with the priest. This assault was done on her.

Another case of sexual harassment of a woman is going on against Bajinder Singh. The woman had told the police that Bajinder Singh, pastor of 'The Church of Glory and Wisdom' in Tajpur village, misbehaved with her in Jalandhar.
As per the complainant, Bajinder Singh took her phone number and started sending her obscene messages. He started making her sit alone in a cabin in the church. There he used to misbehave with her. Kapurthala police had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the case. The SIT is investigating this case. The woman's statement has been recorded in the case.
