In a major blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jalandhar, BJP leader Subhash Goria has also joined AAP. Politics has intensified in the city thanks to the bye-elections in Jalandhar West. Today, before Subhash Goria announced his move, former Congress councilor Tarsem Lakhotra and former councilor's son Anmol Grover also joined Aam Aadmi Party along with their colleagues.

Congress and BJP have suffered a major setback due to both of them joining AAP. Tarsem Lakhotra was in Congress for a long time and had a good hold in his area. In such a situation, his leaving the party has given a big setback to Congress in the West constituency.

Subhash Goria has been playing his role in social service for the last 31 years and has contested elections twice from Jalandhar Lok Sabha and twice from Jalandhar West constituency on Shiv Sena ticket. He is also the chairman of the National Hindu Helpline Organization.

Similarly, former councilor's son Anmol Grover was also in Congress earlier. When former MP Sushil Kumar Rinku came to BJP, he started supporting BJP. But before the elections, the Grover family changed party again. CM Mann got both of them to join the party at the CM residence in Jalandhar.
