A woman returning from Canada died in the flight. The deceased has been identified as Kamalpreet Kaur, 53-year-old woman, who had gone to Canada four months ago. She was a resident of Loharan village of Bhogpur. Kamalpreet Kaur died on her way back to India. When she died, the plane had covered a distance of two and a half hours. Kamalpreet was returning in the first class of the flight.
Her husband Manjit Singh is posted as a lab attendant in the government school of village Rastgo of Bhogpur block. Manjit Singh informed that his two sons live permanently in Canada. His wife had gone to meet them four months ago. She was going to return on Tuesday.
According to IST, Air India flight departed from Toronto at around 11:30 am on Tuesday morning. Manjeet Singh’s sons informed him abouth the flight timings. Following this, he boarded a bus and left for Delhi. On the way, he kept checking the status of the flight online. When he reached Khanna, the status stopped appearing. Later his son said that Kamalpreet had died due to breathlessness in the flight.
Manjit Singh informed that the Canadian government has told that after conducting the post-mortem of the body, the reason of death will be revealed. The flight that left from Toronto had covered a distance of two and a half hours when Kamalpreet started suffering breathlessness issues. The doctor present in the flight checked her and declared her dead. After this the flight left for Toronto.
