In a shocking development, a woman in Jalandhar killed her live-in partner by poisoning his liquor. As per reports, the deceased’s body was found in a bed box in the house on May 3. When the police investigated, the woman living with the deceased turned out to be the culprit behind his death. The police inform that she had carried out this incident along with an accomplice.
The two accused, identified as Himachali Devi, resident of Mandi, Himachal and Sanoj Kumar, resident of Gadaipur have been arrested. Police have registered a case of murder against both of them.
Dead body was hidden in a rented house
Joint Police Commissioner of Jalandhar City Police, Sandeep Sharma said that on May 3, people living in Gadaipur area had informed the police about foul smell of a rotting corpse in the area. When the police reached the spot, the dead body of a person was found in a bed box in the house. The deceased was identified as Vinod Kumar alias Nakul Kumar. The police had taken Himachali Devi into custody at the spot.
The Joint Commissioner further said that when the woman was interrogated, she confessed that she had mixed poison in Vinod's liquor. After his death, she informed Sanoj about the incident. Together they hid Vinod's body in the bed of the house where Sanoj lived on rent.
The woman said- she does not want to live together
The woman admitted that she was in a live-in relationship with Vinod, but the two were not married. But now she did not want to continue the relationship. According to her, Vinod used to tell everyone that Himachali Devi is his wife. She was angered by this and decided to take his life. Sharma said that it is yet unclear whether the Himachali was in an illicit relationship with Sanoj or not.
