Jalandhar Garha Suicide, Jalandhar Labour Colony youth suicide: In a bizarre development, an 18-year-old youth living in the labour colony of Garha Road area (Jalandhar) was beaten up by his girlfriend's relatives and his clothes were torn. Not only this but the girl was also forced to tie a Rakhi on the boy's wrist. Due to the embarrassment of this, the youth died by suicide by hanging himself. The deceased has been identified as Sahil alias Mani. The police of Thana 7 have registered a case against the girl's relatives on the statement of the deceased's father Happy alias Kailash. At present, the girl's relatives are absconding.
In the complaint given to the police, Kailash said that he drives a taxi. His son Sahil was learning mobile phone repair work while staying with his grandparents. He was friends with a girl. On November 1, at around 8:30 pm, he got a call from Sahil that he needed Rs 500 through Paytm. He said that he would send his friend's scanner. After a while, when the scanner did not come, he called Sahil. Sahil said that someone had called him to Phagwadi Mohalla. He was beaten up. After this, the phone got disconnected. When he went to Phagwadi Mohalla to see his son, many people were gathered there.
As per the information received, some people informed that Sahil was forcibly taken away by Shenty and his two nephews. There was another boy with them. He went to Shenty's house. There he saw that Sahil was made to sit on the ground and was beaten. His clothes were also torn. He asked Shenty why he was being beaten. Shenty said that he used to trouble his daughter, so his sons were making him tie a Rakhi.
He apologized to them and brought his son from there. After coming home, Sahil said he had been friends with the girl for three years. But he was forced to get a ralhi tied by her. He is feeling very ashamed. After this, they went to sleep. The next day in the evening, when the boy's parents went to call him for tea, they saw that he had died suicide by hanging himself from the fan. Police registered a case against Shenty, a friend, and two nephews of Shenty, residents of Phagwadi Mohalla. In charge of Police Station 7, Anu Paliyal said that the police had registered a case. The accused are being searched and will be arrested soon.
Notably, Sahil had posted a message on Facebook before dying by suicide. The post reads, "Goodbye friends". He had put this post at around 5:30 in the morning.
