A speeding car hit a Sikh youth near Kapurthala Chowk in Jalandhar. After the accident, the female driver and two passengers in the vehicle started causing a scene at the spot. According to the victim, all of the accused were severly inebriated. The girl was vomiting on the road itself. The young man suffered serious leg injury in the accident.
According to the information received, son of Bhupinder Singh, resident of Raj Nagar, works at the Dolphin Hotel. He was returning home after finishing his work as per his routine. Two of his companions were present with him at the time of the incident. The victim informs that after the accident, the girl in the car misbehaved with him.
The victim somehow managed to get the girl off him by pushing her, following which her friends also started pushing him. The victim told that everyone was so drunk that they started to vomit on the spot. The accused fled the scene leaving him in an injured condition. Police station in-charge Gurpreet Singh, who reached the spot, said that after taking the complaint, appropriate action will be taken and the CCTV would be checked in the morning.
