A 21-year-old migrant youth died under suspicious circumstances in a rice factory in Adampur, Jalandhar. The deceased has been identified as Ashish. The relatives of Ashish said that he was working in the rice factory owner's house since the age of 9, then he was sent to the factory and has died today. His family alleges that Ashish has been hanged to death and the police is trying to silence their voice and support the factory owner. The family says that until they will not get justice, they will not perform the last rites of the dead body.
They said that CCTV cameras have been installed inside the factory and their youth did not die by suicide but by murder. The policemen are trying to threaten them by abusing them since morning.

SHO Adampur police station, Palwinder Singh said that the father of the deceased youth Ashish has recorded his statement in the police and the post-mortem of the boy has been done, whose report will come after 72 hours. At present, action is being taken by the police in cases of suicide under 174.
