A case of fraud has been filed against the owners of a popular restaurant in Jalandhar, Punjab. The owners of the Headquarters restaurant allegedly refused to pay the bill for commercial cylinders delivered to their numerous firms, according to reports.
According to sources, Prem H.P Gas agency head Gaurav Kataria, has filed a case against Amarpreet Sidhu alias Rajan, the owner of the headquarters, and his wife Ritu Sidhu, who were allocated numerous gas cylinders for their firms but later refused to pay the bill.
Following a police complaint, the couple gave Mr Kataria cheques totaling Rs 8.50 lakh which were rejected by the bank.
After a thorough investigation, the Police commissioner Jalandhar has reportedly filed a fraud case against the couple.
The Headquarters restaurant and Mahir catering are two of Amarpreet Sidhu and Ritu Sidhu's three businesses.
Kataria in his complaint alleged that his agency used to provide services to the couple's multiple businesses. Subsequently, the Sidhu firm's debt increased to over Rs 8.65 lakhs and Mr Kataria demanded the couple settle the amount.
The couple, on the other hand, paid no attention to the owner of the agency. After Kataria reported to the police commissioner, the couple paid him two cheques of Rs 4.50 lakh in January 2020.
