Jalandhar’s famous Heart-Attack Parantha Wala, Bir Davinder Singh, once again finds himself in the headlines as he was allegedly attacked by some youths in a Scorpio car. Giving information about the case, Davinder Singh said that he was working at his shop on Saturday when about half a dozen youths riding a Scorpio came. It is alleged that those people were intoxicated and as soon as they came, they ordered his signature parathas.
However, when he objected to alcohol near the shop, those youths started calling themselves policemen. When he did not listen to them, they started hurling obsceneties and then started to beat him up. Davinder says that when his father came to rescue him, those youths also laid their hands on him and also started to beat other people, after which they fled. Veer Davinder Singh was admitted to the Civil Hospital and allegedly a complaint was lodged in this regard at Police Station 6. However, Jalandhar ADCP, Aditya IAS, released a statement saying that no information about this incident was received. Additionally, orders have been issued to close shops by 12 AM every night, and these measures are being strictly enforced, said the ADCP.
Davinder Singh had earlier been surrounded with controversies after serving Comedian Kapil Sharma late at night at his Jalandhar outlet. The police had registered a case against him under section 188 for opening his shop late at night. Davinder then alleged that SHO Ajayab Singh had ‘locked him up’ and ‘assaulted’ him. However, the SHO had defended himself saying the allegations were false and that Davinder had been given multiple warnings behind.
