Jalandhar's famous Imperial Medical Hall on Saturday was robbed by two unknown miscreants by showing sharp weapons in broad daylight. During the robbery at Jalandhar's Imperial Medical Hall, customers were also present inside the shop. As per reports, two robbers entered the shop and first attacked the counter and then fled after looting the cash. At the time of the incident, one robber had a sharp weapon in his hand and the other had something like a weapon in his hand.
As per the initial information received, the incident took place in the afternoon. The accused reportedly fled with about Rs 45 to 48 thousand from the cash box inside the shop. The owner Jivesh, who was present inside the shop informed that the robbers threatened him to kill, after which he got scared and let them rob. The accused fled with all the money lying in the cash box.
The robbers reportedly came on a bike to commit the robbery. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police of Police Station Division Number-4 reached the spot for investigation. According to the shopkeeper, the CCTV installed inside the shop was faulty, due to which the incident could not be captured on the camera. Therefore, the police are now scanning the CCTVs of the surrounding areas. Both the accused were wearing a kurta.
Robbery at Imperial Medical Hall, Jalandhar, is indeed worrisome as there are two Police stations near the shop. The medical is just 4 to 5 minutes away from Jalandhar Division Number 3, while the Division Number 4 Police station is at some distance. Notably, the area is often filled with Police personnel as there is a media house present as well. In security, the Police officials often remain present at the spot.
