Manoj Bharti

Manoj Bharti has been appointed as Jan Suraaj's working President. Manoj Bharti is a retired diplomat and IIT graduate. Bharti is a resident of Madhubani in Bihar and a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur (BTech) and Delhi (MTech). Apart from this, Bharti was India's ambassador to Ukraine, Belarus, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia. Going by Manoj Bharti's Linked profile, he has described in brief his last posting in Indonesia, where he said he managed the visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 13 ministers under the Group of 20 (G20) for building trust in defence, security and education cooperation.

Devendra Prasad Yadav

Devendra Prasad Yadav, who was an RJD leader, is also a part of Jan Suraaj. He has been an MP from Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha seat and is considered a big socialist leader. Devendra Yadav became MLA for the first time in 1977. He resigned from the MLA post and vacated the seat for Karpoori Thakur. He became a Union Minister in 1996. Devendra says that when I supported Mulayam Singh Yadav for the post of Prime Minister in 1996, Lalu Prasad got angry. Exactly one year after this, I was removed from the post of Union Minister. Yadav has been an MP from Jhanjharpur 5 times. Before this, he has been in JDU and RJD.

Jagriti Thakur

JJagriti Thakur, the granddaughter of late socialist leader Karpoori Thakur, has also become a part of Jan Suraaj. Jagriti's father Virendra Nath Thakur is the younger son of former Bihar Chief Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Karpoori Thakur. Late Karpoori Thakur is seen as the mentor of many big leaders of the state including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD President Lalu Prasad. 

Jagriti has the identity of her grandfather and in the coming days, Prashant's party would like him to be presented as the legacy of Karpoori Thakur. Since a large part of Bihar's OBC vote bank has been with Nitish and Lalu Yadav's parties till now. Prashant Kishore, who is emerging as a new force in Bihar, is also busy making inroads in every section. If he succeeds, he can harm JDU, RJD as well as BJP.

Pawan Verma

Prashant Kishor and Pawan Verma were once considered very close to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. However, in the year 2020, Nitish Kumar expelled Pawan Verma and Prashant Kishor from JDU. In January 2020, Pawan Verma objected to Nitish Kumar's stand on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He also objected to the alliance with BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections. Pawan Verma had said that Nitish Kumar had surrendered to BJP and RSS. After that, Pawan Verma joined Mamata Banerjee's party TMC. Mamata made him the national vice-president of TMC. Later he left TMC. Now he is a part of Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj.

Pawan Verma entered Bihar politics after retiring from the Foreign Service in January 2013. Pawan was born on 5 November 1953. He first became the cultural advisor to the Chief Minister. After that, he was made the National General Secretary and National Spokesperson of Janata Dal (United). He was a member of the Rajya Sabha from June 2014 to July 2016. Apart from being a politician, he is also known for his writing. Pawan has written about 10 fiction and non-fiction books so far. He has also translated many books from Urdu or Hindi to English.

Monajir Hasan

The name of former Bihar minister Monajir Hasan is also included among the members of Jan Suraaj. Hasan has been associated with RJD as well as JD(U). He has also been an MP and has also been a part of the state legislature. He has had a long tenure. He is considered a seasoned player in politics.

Anand Mishra

Former IPS officer Anand Mishra is also a part of Jan Suraaj. Anand was preparing to contest the Lok Sabha elections on a BJP ticket this year. He had also resigned from the post. However, later when he did not get a ticket from the BJP, he contested as an independent from Buxar. JDU leader Mangani Lal Mandal's daughter Priyanka has also joined Jan Suraaj. Mangani Lal has also been a former MP and former MLA of JDU.
