Japan's New Year turned horrific on Monday after a massive 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Island nation. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported a quake hitting Ishikawa located in the Chūbu region of Honshu island and nearby prefectures shortly after 4pm. As a result, a Tsunami warning was also issued and people living in the region were advised to shit to higher altitude areas. Now, Japan's earthquake video is doing rounds on social media.
In one of the Japan earthquake viral videos, a general store can be seen heavily shaking. The impact was so intense that many things kept on the shelves fell on the ground. Not only this, huge cracks also appeared on the roads of Japan. Japanese public broadcaster warned torrents of Tsunami water could reach as high as 5m (16.5ft) and urged people to flee to high land or a top of a nearby building as quickly as possible.
The broadcaster reportedly said the tsunami waves could keep returning and warnings were continuing to be aired nearly an hour after the initial alert.
