Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon has finally picked up a date to step down as the CEO of the company, role of CEO would be played by current Amazon executive Andy Jassy. Bezos is the one who has grown Amazon from an internet bookstore to an online shopping behemoth.
On Wednesday, Jeff Bezos shared the news and said that Andy Jassy will take the role of CEO on July 5.

I have chosen this date because it’s sentimental for me, Bezos said during an Amazon shareholder meeting. He explained that 27 years ago in 1997, Amazon was incorporated.
It was announced by the Seattle-based Amazon. com. Inc. that Jeff would be stepping down in February, but a specific date was not released.
After stepping down Jeff Bezos, 57 would not go far he would become executive chair at Amazon and would focus on new products and initiatives. He had also planned to focus on his other ventures like RocketShip Company, Blue Origin, and his newspaper The Washington Post.
