Actress Jennifer Aniston has responded against those who chastised her after she disclosed that she had cut ties with non vaccinated people. She said that she cut ties with "a few people" in her personal life because they refused to be vaccinated or declare their vaccination status.

Aniston shared a photo of an Instagram remark on Thursday night, asking why she was "worried" about those who aren't vaccinated when she had previously been vaccinated.

"Because if you have the variant, you are still able to give it to me," Aniston responded to the comment.

"I may get slightly sick but I will not be admitted to a hospital and or die. But I can give it to someone who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or has a previous existing condition) - and therefore I would put their lives at risk.”

She added: "That is why I worry. We have to care about more than just ourselves.”

COVID-19 vaccinations have proven to be highly effective in avoiding severe diseases that might result in hospitalisation and death. Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, stated in July that unvaccinated persons accounted for 99.5 percent of COVID-19 deaths in the United States.

However, no vaccination can guarantee that an illness will not occur. According to CDC data, 733 people have died of COVID-19 among the 157 million Americans who have been completely vaccinated. At least 3,554 individuals were admitted to the hospital and survived. Mild breakout cases are no longer being tracked by the CDC.

Jennifer Aniston told InStyle magazine that she had to cut individuals out of her life because they "refused" to take the vaccination.

"It's a real shame," she told the publication, "that there's still a significant number of individuals who are anti-vaxxers or just don't listen to the facts." "I've recently lost a few folks in my weekly routine because they rejected or refused to reveal [whether or not they had been vaccinated], which was unfortunate.”

"I believe it is your moral and professional responsibility to enlighten," she said, "because we aren't all podded up and being tested every single day. It's hard because everyone is entitled to their own view - but a lot of ideas don't feel founded in anything other than fear or propaganda."

Throughout the epidemic, Aniston has emphasised the necessity of adhering to COVID-19 safety standards like as self-isolation and mask use.
