The cast of 90s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 is remembering their beloved co-actor, Joe. E. Tata. The actor, best known for playing Peach Pit diner owner Nat Bussichio on the long-running series, died at the age of 86 after previously being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Stars from the show reacted to the disturbing news of Tata’s death through social media posts which were informed by her daughter Kelly Tata. Sharing the sentimental post Tori spelling wrote, "We lost our family and good friend, Joe E. Tata… "
Tori remembered Tata as being “one of the kindest, funniest, most professional, amazing humans I've ever had the pleasure of working with and more importantly being friends with in my entire life." Spelling made a special mention of Tata’s humor, which kept the team intact and said was always spot on.
Spelling in her post likening Tata to her-real father Aaron whom she lost in 2006 referenced the first photo in which Tata’s Nat walked Donna Martin down the aisle in one of the shows a special request she gave to the writers, "It meant a lot to me. Personally and professionally. Based on our close real-life friendship and the fact he was a fun, caring, loyal, and protective male role model to me this was as it should be."
In the post expressing her thoughts about the late actor spelling remembered Tata as the one who was always there for her when she needed it.
In a separate video showing him and Tata hugging, which Brian Austin Green shared with the caption, "Joey was a family member for sure and he will be missed but so fondly remembered.”
Joining the list in paying condolences was Jennie Garth who acknowledged this as a great loss sharing two pictures of her with Tata and Tori Spelling. Garth wrote, "I have a very sad heart but will always remember that smile and mischievously loving laugh.”
Making a reference to the death of other stars from 90210 who died, Garth added, "I feel like there's a reunion party going on at the Peach Pit in heaven and I find comfort knowing that there will be a seat there for me someday surrounded by my dear friends.”
Among others who also shared their thoughts on the death of the veteran actor were Shannen Doherty, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, and others.
Tata’s daughter Kelly confirmed the death of her father on the GoFundMe page which was launched by her last in October last year.
It was in 2018 itself when Kelly announced officially about her father being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Upon the announcement of her father’s death, she went on to mention, "The remaining funds raised from this campaign will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association."
