Currently, #ArrestSushmitaSinha is trending on Twitter and people are posting against Sushmita. But, who is Sushmita and why is she being massively trolled.
Sushmita Sinha, a New Delhi based journalist, posted a video on her social media accounts against fasting on Teej. In the clip, Sinha was seen holding a Hindu scripture, 'Haritalika Teej Vrat Katha', with the picture of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on the cover. She purportedly asked viewers what do they think about her using the book as a 'toilet paper'.
In the video she can be heard saying, "I don’t have any use for this booklet now, so I am thinking of using it as a tissue paper or toilet paper, what do you think?"
Later, she uploaded the Instagram story which displayed the same booklet being used as toilet paper.

She also posted a full-fledged video on her Twitter account where she read an excerpt from the book and said this book contains misogynistic views hence, is of no use.
She is being trolled for ‘disrespecting a Hindu festival’. Teej is a festival celebrated by women in many parts of India and Nepal to welcome the rain gods with dance and prayers.
Meanwhile, Sinha took to the micro-blogging site and shared another video, where she demanded the arrest of those sending her rape and acid attack threats.
