The Jullundur Gymkhana Elections, which is the most prestigious club for the elite class of Jalandhar, are just around the corner. Keeping this in mind, Achievers’ Group candidate for Hony. Secretary Tarun Sikka has released a video statement, highlighting the changes that the Achievers’ group aims to bring to the prestigious club.
First of this is an amendment to the Annual Subscription policy of the club. Whereas previously, annual subscription fees featured a rebate for 2 months, it will be amended to include 3 months. The team felt that the development charges and the increase in the monthly subscription charges were an overburden on the members hence this decision was taken.
Secondly, the Achievers’ group aims to address the membership transfer policy which allows the senior members of the club to tranfers their own membership to a family member. The team aims to allow the senior members of the club to transfer their membership to their children and grandchildren free of cost. Thirdly, the Achievers’ group also aims to address the Golden Handshake policy, where the cost of membership in golden handshake will be increased from Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakhs.
The Achievers group aims to introduce a ‘multi-utility sports card’ which will allow the members to use any of the sports facilities of the club at a price of Rs. 750. This will help alleviate the burden of having to pay different fees to use the different sports facilities of the club.
The Achievers also aim to address the hot topic of catering in the club. The team aims to develop a vegetarian restaurant in the club along with a separate vegetarian kitchen for the vegetarian members of the club. The teams also aims to expand the club’s kitchen to a more hygienic caliber so that the members will be provided with high-quality food. Also, embodying women empowerment, the club aims to hire 20% more female staff, which the team believes will greatly enhance the atmosphere of the club. Along with this, the club also aims to discount the liquor prices at the club in such a manner that will benefit the club members while also creating adequate revenue for the liquor traders.
