Bollywood actress & Mandi MP from the BJP, Kangana Ranaut has spoken on farmers protest yet again despite being reprimanded by her party. Kangana Ranaut is busy promoting her upcoming movie Emergency these days and therefore she is giving multiple interviews. In an interview with Lallantop, Kangana Ranaut revealed that she got a call from BJP Chief JP Nadda in which she was reprimanded over her remarks on farmers protest. Kangana also stated that she is aligned to her party's values and therefore is grateful that many senior leaders of the BJP are guiding her. While Kangana dodged questions on farmers protest in most parts of the interview, she broke her silence by firing new statement on the issue. Below is an expert from the interview-
"I am aligned with the policy of my party. I have received special instructions not to talk about it. Whatever the stance of the party is, I am aligned with it."
On being asked if she regrets her statement, Kangana said, "No, I don't regret my statement." Kangana then pointed out that the media is not calling out the truth, on this the journalist said that no reports of rape cases came during the farmers protest.
Kangana then said, "A Dalit woman was raped." On being asked if the protestors raped the Dalit woman, Kangana said, "Criminals raped her.... A criminal has only one identity which is crime. I cannot say that I am a mother and I killed someone else's child. If you have killed someone's child, you lose your right to call yourself a mother."
Referring to the slapgate incident at Chandigarh Airport, Kangana continued, "If you have disrespected your uniform, if you have disrespected farmers (by saying she belonged to farmers family that's why she slapped me) you lose the identity of being called a farmer or a soldier. They are only criminals. Therefore, don't ask me if farmers raped the woman during the protest. This shows your mindset. A rapist is only a rapist and a criminal."
On being asked if she said the truth, then why her party distanced itself from her, Kangana said, "See, whosoever hijacked that protest, but their (government) main concern is still the farmers. Their main prerogative is still the farmers. Farmers protest was hijacked but the government's prerogative is still the farmers. They will always think for the betterment of farmers because it is their role."
