Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to dawn her political career. Yes! you heard it right. Kangana Rananut whose last film Tejas turned out to be a disaster at the box office recently met BJP head JP Nadda at her Kullu residence. While a few weeks back a Hindi daily claimed that Kangana Rananut will be contesting Lok Sabha Election 2024, the actress had debunked the report calling it to be fake. Now, her father Amardeep has officially confirmed that Kangana Ranaut is entering the world of politics and will be contesting the upcoming General Elections 2024.
Kangana Ranaut gave her nod to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections after she reportedly met JP Nadda in Kullu, Manali. Kangana's father was quoted saying that the Tejas actor will be contesting the election on BJP ticket. However, Kangana's constituency is not finalized yet and it will take place in due course of time.
The Bollywood actress hails from Sarahan village in the Sarkaghat constituency of Mandi district, with a secondary residence in Manali where her family currently resides. It is pertinent to mention here that a film star contesting the Lok Sabha election is not new. In the last General Assembly Election, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol contested the election on a BJP ticket from Gurdaspur. The Gadar actor had also won the election. However, during an interview post-Gadar 2 success, Sunny confirmed that he will not be contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Talking about Kangana Ranaut's constituency, last time a viral post suggested that the BJP is mulling to give her ticket from Chandigarh constituency. The post read in Hindi, "If BJP insiders are to be believed, once again BJP is going to contest the parliamentary seat of Chandigarh with an outside candidate. If sources are to be believed, BJP has found a replacement for current MP Kirron Kher from the film world itself.
