As the COVID 19 pandemic spreads throughout the world, Kannada actor Arjun Gowda has volunteered to drive ambulances for those who are most affected. The actor, who has appeared in films such as 'Rustum,' 'Aa Drushya,' 'Odeya,' and others, has launched a project called 'Project Smile Trust,' with the goal of providing assistance and emergency services to people who need it for transferring patients from hospitals or performing last rites.
Arjun said, "I've only been on the road for a few days, but I've already assisted about a half-dozen people with final rites. We want to make sure that we support everyone who is in need, regardless of where they are from or what religion they follow. I'm even willing to fly around town for assistance."
During the Covid-19 pandemic, many celebrities have been amplifying SOS requests on social media. Samantha, Priyanka Chopra, Sonu Sood, Alia Bhatt, and SS Rajamouli have been requesting oxygen, ventilators, Remdesivir, hospital beds, and other necessities. Arjun Gowda, a Kannada star, went one step further and became an ambulance driver for patients infected with the novel coronavirus. He has been carrying Covid-19 patients as well as assisting families with last rites for those who have died from the disease.
