However, the Ministry of Home Affairs has said the department has not been informed about the decision.
As per the information acquired from sources of Delhi police, the security has been heightened after Kapil Mishra received alleged death threats and he will now be given 24*7 security by armed personnel under the Y+ category security.

The opposition has sought FIRs against Kapil Mishra and other BJP leaders for inciting mob and violence during Delhi Assembly Election campaign and thereafter during the communal violence which had erupted in northeast Delhi last week.
Followed by death threats over social media, BJP leader raised concern over his safety affirmed sources.
Ministry of Home Affairs on this matter has said Delhi Police has provided Kapil Mishra with Y+ category security but has not informed to MHA, whom Delhi police reports. However, it is being said that sources may have assessed the threat at local level, later, taken action on it.
