A youth from the village of Mandher Bet in the Bhulath subdivision of Kapurthala has reportedly died under suspicious circumstances in Canada. It is said that the youth had gone to Canada just a few days ago. The news of his death has brought a wave of grief to his family and an atmosphere of mourning to the village of Mandher Bet. Relatives and acquaintances are expressing their condolences to the family .

According to the information received, the youth from Mandher Bet, Varinder Singh (33 years old), son of Balkar Singh, went to Canada last week for a better future. In the past few days, he suddenly fell ill and passed away. The family received this information from his roommate, Jaswant Singh, a resident of Nakodar in Jalandhar district, who informed them that Varinder Singh died due to a brain stroke.

Balkar Singh, the father, shared that Varinder Singh got married approximately six years ago in 2018 and has two daughters. Before this, Varinder Singh had also traveled to Malaysia and England last year, and after returning from there, he went to Canada.

The grieving family revealed with heavy hearts that they were still celebrating Varinder Singh’s move abroad when the news of his death plunged them into sorrow. The deceased’s father, Balkar Singh, has appealed to the district administration and the government to help in bringing his son’s body back to India so that they can conduct his last rites and other rituals themselves.
