Filmmaker Karan Johar's lawyer and 3 other people working for him reached the NCB office in Mumbai for questioning on Friday. NCB had sent a notice to Karan Johar in connection with the alleged drug party at his residence in 2019 in which several Bollywood personalities were seen in a viral video.
Going by the reports of NDTV, the questioning of Karan Johar's team has been concluded and the filmmaker has maintained that there were no drugs consumed at his party.
As per NCB officials, "Karan was asked to give details of the party. Accordingly, the NCB on Friday received a reply from him to the notice In the reply, Johar maintained that no drug was consumed at the party."
Zonal Director of Narcotics Control Bureau, Sameer Wankhede said, "We are examining the reply."
Although Karan Johar has already clarified his stand in the past. Karan had shared his official statement and shared it on Twitter. He had said, "These slanderous and malicious statements, news articles and news clippings have unnecessarily subjected me, my family, and my colleagues, and Dharma Productions, to hatred, contempt and ridicule."
"I would like to unequivocally once again state that I do not consume narcotics and I do not promote or encourage consumption of any such substance," added Johar.
