Doctors all around the world are working hard and are advising citizens to take all possible precautions – wearing a face mask, maintaining social distancing, and sanitizing/ washing hands.
But, on the other hand, a case has been registered against a doctor in Karnataka, who refused to wear a face mask in the supermarket. This incident was captured and is doing rounds on social media.

The doctor in the video is identified as Dr Srinivas. In the clip, it can be seen that another customer requested the doctor to wear a mask but he refuses.

Later, when the doctor goes to the billing counter he was again asked to wear a mask by the manager of the grocery shop. After this, the doctor started arguing with the manager and said this is an ‘act of foolishness’. The doctor said that he had recovered from Covid-19 and now he would not contract any type of virus. However, the manager reminds him that wearing a mask is still important.
Mangaluru Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “After a written complaint from the manager, a case has been filed against the doctor under Epidemic Act.”
