The celebration all across India has kicked in as one of the most important festivals nearby. Karwa Chauth which is falling on the 13th of October this year is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in the whole country. Marries as well as unmarried women observe a full day fast to seek blessings for their husbands and life partners.
After observing a full-day fast, women get together for Karwa Chauth puja and then break the fast after sighting the moon. As per the rituals, Karwa Chauth falls 4 days post the full moon day and all the auspicious timings are decided according to the timing of the moon rise. Reports suggest that the average time of moonrise is 8:09 pm.
Here is the full list of when the moon will rise in different cities:
1. Ludhiana: 08:10
2. Delhi: 8:09 pm
3. Chandigarh: 8:06 pm
4. Mumbai: 8:48 pm
5. Kolkata: 07:37 pm
6. Noida: 08:08 pm
7. Lucknow: 07:59 pm

Another startling fact that has come to the fore is that the most important aspect to break fast during Karwa Chauth i.e. Moon might not also be visible in some places in the country. The reason why these claims are being made is that the weather reports of some areas suggest that Thursday and Friday might observe clouds or heavy rainfall due to which the moon may not be visible in some places.
