Amidst a spike in gun violence in the United States of America, a fatal mass shooting took place on Thursday night at the Kentucky homeless shelter which led to 2 deaths and multiple injuries. As per US media report, the Kentucky homeless shelter home shooting took place between 7:30 and 8 p.m. (local timing) at the Harbor House Christian Center in Henderson, Kentucky. Handerson Police Department in its statement on Facebook informed that the Police received a panic alert about a shooter at Harbor House Christian Centre at around 7:30 pm (local time). Subsequently, it said the officials rushed to the site and found multiple people were injured.
Following the Kentucky shelter home shooting, the Police went on a manhunt and later nabbed a gunman named Kenneth Gibbs. Notably, the Police department at first issued an alert saying people not to attend to the main accused who had last been seen driving a white Toyota Prius. Later in an updated post, the Police informed the accused was arrested after he was located. Gibbs was located at Hays Boat Ramp in the 2000 block of North Elm Street. He was arrested at 9:45 p.m. "At 2155 hours, the Henderson Police Department located Kenneth Gibbs and has taken him into custody," it wrote on a Facebook post.

The US Sun quoted City Commissioner Robert Pruitt who confirmed the death of a person while City spokeswoman Donna Stinnett confirmed the second fatality. Not only this, the residents claimed that several people were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment who were injured in the Kentucky shelter home shooting.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Harbor House and Christian Center is a shelter for men in need of food, clothing, and other assistance. It is situated at 804 Clay St. in Henderson, Kentucky.
