Global brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, Hyundai and KIA motors faced backlash on social media for showing support on Kashmir Solidarity Day. Along with Hyundai, KIA, KFC, Isuzu, Suzuki, other brands like Honda, Toyota were also involved in this.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is a national holiday observed in Pakistan on 5 February annually. It is observed to show Pakistan's support and unity with the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmiri separatists' efforts to secede from India and to pay homage to the Kashmiris who have died in the conflict.
Tweets and posts in support of Kashmir Day didn’t go well with the Netizens. These big companies faced repercussions for their posts. Netizens trend #BoycottKFC, #BoycottHyundai and #Hyundaiwithterrorists on Twitter. They asked these companies to apologize for their posts.
KCF issued an apology note on Twitter and wrote in it, “We deeply apologize for a post that was published on some KFC social media channels outside the country. We honour and respect India, and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving all Indians with pride.”

Not only KFC, but Hyundai also released a statement on social media.
While the posts have been deleted by these companies but the users are sharing screenshots of such posts on social media.
