Days after Punjab Farmer's acceded to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's request to end the rail blockade agitation, the lone farmer's union which did not accept the request blocked the railway track yet again.
30 farmer groups of Punjab have vacated the railway track for the passenger train but the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee has not yet vacated the railway track due to which the Golden Temple Express train was stopped at Beas and diverted the train to Amritsar. The lone agitating farmer's union has told the Punjab and Central government that unless they won't accept their demand they will not vacate the railway tracks.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Ferozepur, VP Singh said, "After the assurance of the state government, railway services resumed in Punjab. However, on Tuesday from 3 am in the morning the Kisan Mazdur Sangharsh Committee yet again blocked the railway tracks at Jandiala Guru railway station. As a result, the Golden Temple Express train coming from Mumbai was diverted to another route. Now, goods trains are in queue standing at other stations but the agitating farmers are not ready to vacate the railway tracks. In the morning they decided to stop the passengers and express trains however, they are not even clearing tracks for goods train."
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder too expressed his concern on the stubbornness of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee. Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Monday said this would put the people to major inconvenience and could have grave consequences for the state.

Reacting to the announcement of Kissan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (Piddi) that they would not budge on their rail blockade of passenger trains till the farm laws issue is resolved, the Chief Minister said that, by striking this discordant note, the union was acting against the interests of Punjab and its people.
He cautioned the committee against taking such a harsh stand, which could lead to them losing the support of the masses, who had so far wholeheartedly backed the farmers' agitation against the farm laws.
"When the state government and every person in Punjab has been extending their full support to the farmers, why is this union taking a stance against their own state?" he asked.
