A Bajrang Dal activist, Harsha, 26, was reportedly killed on Sunday around 9:00 p.m. in Karnataka. The young man was killed by four or five men. As a precautionary measure schools and colleges will remain close for two days in the city.
The boy was murdered by peaceful community in Shimoga, Karnataka yesterday over a facebook post against the hijab. Karnataka home minister Araga Jananendra visited the hospital and met family members of Harsha.
Twitter users extended their support to Harsh for this violence. A user wrote, “Karnataka - A 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was allegedly murdered yesterday night This is 5th murder after the Hijab controversy. People are getting killed for opposing Hijab. Is this secularism?”
