Choosing to end their 18-year-long marriage, actor Dhanush and director Aishwaryaa Dhanush, who also happens to be the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, have announced that they have decided to part ways.
On January 17, both of them shared a post on their social media accounts about getting separated. Aishwaryaa is the eldest daughter of Rajinikanth. She is a film director and playback singer.
The actual reason behind the separation is not disclosed by any one of them. Along with the fans, the entire industry wants to know – Why did the two parted ways?
According to sources, two major reasons behind their divorce were – Dhanush’s affair with his costars and Aishwaryaa’s failure to make a career as a film director.
In 2020, Dhanush did a film with Shruti Haasan. The rumours of their linkup were all around. The names of Trisha Krishnan and Amala Paul are also often associated with Dhanush.
Moreover, despite being Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwaryaa was unable to get good projects in the industry. She wants to work on Bollywood movies instead of south film industry.
These things became the root cause for their separation.

Aishwaryaa and Dhanush confirmed the news of their separation on their social media. The pair has two children together, Yatra, who is 15-years-old, and Linga, who is 11 years old.
