Aditi Ashok who is an Indian Olympic Golfer ranked 4th in the final round and second, in the 3rd round, it is her 2nd the time that she has appeared in the Olympics, though she missed out on making a history, but this 23-year-old is really passionate about her games and has gone to many European tours, she started her career in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is the youngest and first Indian to secure her Ladies European Tour card in 2016 season as well as the first Indian to win the European Tour title.
She said, “My social media following just blew up overnight, I never thought the Olympics could impact golf that much in India. So knowing that it could bring that many more eyeballs to the sport was a good thing.”

It was really hard for Aditi to practice for the Tokyo Olympics in between the Covid-19 pandemic, she caught Covid herself and she had to practice hitting iron in a makeshift net that couldn’t handle drivers and wedges. After getting affected by the fatal virus her strength and immunity was reduced.
“It took a little bit of strength out of me, I was never this short. I was always short but not 50 behind Nelly and 50 behind Nanna,” She explained how Covid affected her in her sports.
After the lack of strength, she is trying to regain her strength and increase her driving distance back again but the process would take a lot of time, which she didn’t have so she found a short term solution to his she convinced herself to accept the fact that she needs to play her short distance game only, and after that, she thought of practicing her short distance game and do her best in the same, further achieving success in the same.

She told, “I’ve worked on my short game a lot…I could spend six, eight hours just practicing chipping or bunker shots. Having that confidence that even if I miss a green I can make par is what gets me through some of the longer venues and gets me through some of the rounds where I know girls are going to be hitting from like 40, 50 yards in front of me.”
With this, she is able to cover a lot of her flaws by being perfect in her short game itself, and this strategy has helped her rank 4th in the finals which is quite close to winning a medal and obviously coming 2nd in semi-finals with a short game is not something everyone can achieve.
