The Sacred Games star discussed how she had an abortion following a one-night affair in one of the book's chapters titled "I Wasn't Ready to Be a Mother."
Kubbra discussed her experience travelling to the Andaman Islands in 2013 in a chapter titled "I Wasn't Ready To Be A Mother." The actress disclosed that she had gone scuba diving at night, followed by drinking and having a sexual encounter with a pal. Her pregnancy test showed up positive after a few days because she had skipped her menstruation. "I decided to end the pregnancy a week later. It caught me off guard. Simply put, it wasn't how Kubbra had envisioned her life or her path to go.
Kubbra talked openly about the event in a recent interview with Times Digital, admitting that she did feel like a "terrible person" but that she had no regrets. The actress said, "No regrets, but of course, I felt like a terrible human being! I had made a terrible decision, and I had become a terrible human being. However, what made me feel horrible was not how I felt, but how other people would interpret it.
Additionally, Kubbra said that she was not prepared to become a mother at the time and that she is still not. She stressed the social restrictions and demands placed on women to marry by the age of 23 and give birth to children by the age of 30.
