Air travel is also being affected due to the rise in Corona cases in India. At present, India has air bubble arrangements with 13 countries. These countries are the US, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Maldives, Canada, Japan, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Qatar, and Iraq.
Corona cases are on the rise in India. The Union government is lifting restrictions step by step to resume air operations as normal. The Central Govt. is currently in talks with other countries as well.
Apart from this, under the Vande Mataram mission, air flights are also being flown to bring back the Indians stranded in these countries. However, some countries like Kuwait have imposed complete travel restrictions on India. Hong Kong has suspended Air India flights until October 3.
The central government has gradually lifted the ban on domestic flights. In addition, domestic and food services have been restored.
The latest developments on Thursday have allowed airlines to decide whether to carry luggage. Earlier, guidelines for the resumption of domestic travel were issued with effect from May 25.
