In order to strengthen the ties between public and Police, the Commissioner of Police Mr Swapan Sharma on Sunday launched Sehyog-an initiative aimed for better Police public partnership.
Launching the program, the Commissioner of Police said that the aim is to ensure better coordination between the Police and public. He said that this campaign will be carried on for four weeks and will focus on disseminating more information for their immediate grievance redressal. Mr Swapan Sharma said that on a daily basis 20 officers from the Commissionerate Police will be having meetings with the NGOs to chalk out the strategy for betterment of the city.
The Commissioner of Police said that the aim is to bring positive change in the society for which proactive role should be played by people. He said that Basic motive is to ensure better coordination and communication amongst police and public. Mr Swapan Sharma said that feedback is the most important aspect of this campaign for getting more and more information through the general public.
Soliciting maximum support and cooperation from people, the Commissioner of Police said that it is the need of hour to solve the majority of issues faced by the city and its residents. He said that law enforcement, tracing of crime and surveillance is the basic duty of Police and Commissionerate Police is committed for it. However, Mr Swapan Sharma said that to discharge this duty efficiently the proactive support of the common people is must for which this campaign will act as a catalyst.
