Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has landed into another controversy for using derogatory words against lawyers in his song ‘Sanju’. A case has been filed against him in the Chandigarh District Court ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections voting.
The petitioner advocate stated that Sidhu has tarnished the image of the lawyers and has released this song with wrong intentions. Advocate Sunil Kumar Mallan has filed this case. Earlier, Advocate had also sent a legal notice to Moosewala regarding this song on July 15, 2021.
The case has been registered under sections of IPC, Arms Act and IT Act. It has been said that strict legal action is being taken against Moosewala.
Sidhu Moosewala is the youngest and crowd-puller candidate in the Punjab electoral arena as he understands the pulse and instantly strikes a "musical" chord with voters.
The 27-year-old singer, who is often caught on the wrong side of the law but broke several records, does not mind in singing couplets of his songs and posing for countless selfies with the electorate, largely first-timers.

Controversies are not new to Moosewala. He created stir by allegedly misusing the name of 18th century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago in his track 'Jatti Jeonay Morh Di Bandook Wargi' with panthic bodies demanding his arrest for hurting Sikh sentiments. He later apologised.
