Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is being probed over the different angles by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Narcotics Control Bureau. However, the case is getting complex with each passing day and the names of new characters are being added up to the list of suspected accused.
On Wednesday, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer, Vikas Singh, has alleged the Mumbai Police for recording the statements in Marathi. However, the late actor's family, during the initial investigations denied to the officials that they do not know the language.
During a press conference, Singh said, "The family has never said that Sushant died by suicide due to dejection. These statements were recorded by the Mumbai Police in Marathi. The family also objected to it and asked the authorities not to write in Marathi if they want them to be signed. But they were forced to sign the statement. They had no clue what had been written in Marathi."
Besides this, Singh also defied the claims made by Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer that Sushant had a "huge life insurance policy" and that is the reason why his family does not want his death to be declared as suicide.
"Sushant did not have any life insurance policy," said Singh.
Divulging the details over medicines which were prescribed by his sister and the leaked chats, the lawyer said, Sushant's sister herself suffered from anxiety hence, she shared the names of the same medicines with her brother to get rid of it.
"Mothers in every Indian household prescribe medicines to their children for various illness. Sushant's sister did the same thing," he said.

It has also been added by Vikas Singh that the family had mentioned in the FIR that Sushant had no mental health issues from 2013 to 2019 and they started to crop up only after Rhea entered his life.
He went on to say that whatever medicines Sushant took earlier, the prescriptions were never shown to his family. "Some of the prescriptions which were shown did not mention which disease he was suffering from," he said.
On the other hand, Singh criticized the role of certain news organizations for their coverage of the case and claimed that Sushant's family believes it is to aid the image of Rhea. He also warned of "necessary actions" if the campaigns continued.
"Sushant Singh Rajput's father and sisters have decided that no film, serial or book should be written or made without the expressed consent of his father and without the script being shown to him. If anyone goes against it, they will do it at their own peril," Singh added.
