The corona lockdown has given free passes to wild animals to roam anywhere they want. From deers, in Dehradoon, leopard Chandigarh to a Cobra in state assembly in Odisha the animals are having a ball during the lockdown period. However, it has brought a new threat to humans as not only normal wild animals but also dangerous wild animals are coming out of their habitat. After a cobra was rescued from Odisha's state assembly, a leopard attacked a pet dog in a bungalow in Gujarat.
The incident took place in the courtyard in Golden City Society of Una Gir Somnath district. A leopard entered the house and attacked a sleeping dog. However, after a fight back the leopard left the dog and went from there.
This incident came to light on Saturday morning, after it got captured in the CCTV camera installed in the courtyard of the bungalow owned by Mahesh Bamania.
“It is the first time that I have realized that my house is prone to visits by the big cats. I’ve alerted the forest department about the incident,” said Bamania.
“We have set up a cage with a live bait inside it to trap the leopard,” said an official from the forest department.
