Three leopard cubs were found in a sugarcane field in Mysuru's Tumbala village near T Narasipur. The newborn cubs were rescued by the villagers and now the authorities are planning to reunite them with their mother.
According to the forest department authorities, 'It was a tricky situation as nothing can be administered to these cubs as they are very small. So, to ensure that they will not get hydrated, we offered them clean water mixed milk. Ideally, the locals should have not touched these cubs. Today evening the mother leopard would have come and took her cubs to a safe place. But the ignorant locals touched them and pampered them. If the mother cub does not return, it is highly unlikely that these cubs will survive. We will keep them in the same spot and wait for the mother leopard.'
