Stressing upon the rampant corruption by leaders of the AAP and Congress in Punjab, state BJP president Sunil Jakhar urged PM Narendra Modi to come out with a vaccine, like the one for Corona, for corrupt politicians as well, while imploring strict measures to end corruption.
Speaking from the dais during PM Modi’s public rally in Hoshiarpur on Thursday, Sunil Jakhar said both the AAP and the Congress are in cahoots in Punjab indulging in loot and plunder.
Taking a jibe at Arvind Kejriwal, Jakhar said Hoshiapur, which is a tourism destination, is seeing a bizarre form of tourism patronized by the incumbent regime and their tainted leaders who come here under the garb of practicing Vipassana to circumvent the process of law. “After the seventh summon by the ED, Kejriwal took shelter for a week in Hoshiarpur claiming to practice Vipassana and in the end avoiding the investigating agency,” Sunil Jakhar said.
"There is widespread drug abuse under the present government. Corruption is a norm. There is corruption even in post matriculation scholarships. I appeal to the Prime Minister to save Punjab’s Nasal (generation) and Fasal (agriculture)”, Jakhar said.
He said people of Punjab are looking at PM Modi with hope so that the dignity of women in Punjab is not outraged anymore. “The law and order has collapsed. The people want you to stem the rot that exists in Punjab,” the state President said.
Sunil Jakhar said Hoshiarpur which is known for its tractor industry and plywood has a sizable NRI population who are ambassadors of our country. Making an earnest appeal to the PM, Sunil Jakhar said, “In your third term as PM, kindly sanction a higher education University named after Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Hoshiarpur.”
