Recently, a model of chennai was captured and got converted by his Bangladeshi boyfriend in London. This case is being investigated by National investigation agency (NIA) on the grounds of kidnapping and religion conversion. Meanwhile, trend with the hashtag #lovejihad is again in the public eye on social media.
An Instagram user shared a collage photo of the model ,'Reshma Khan' before and after the acid attack giving the caption," #lovejihad she was saying he is different, my Indian sisters please stay away from these people . Jai shri Ram." It has been alleged that this model is Indian and her Muslim boyfriend attacked her.

What is the Actual story?
When this story was actually researched with fact check measures, it has been found that this girl in the collage is girl named Reshma Khan who was an aspiring model. On 21st june 2019, Reshma and her cousin were stuck in the traffic in London while a white guy named John Tomlin threw acid on them. It was reshma's birthday on that night.
According to the report of international media, in 2018, John confessed that he attacked both of them with the intention of causing bodily harm to them. After this, he was sentenced to 16 years.

This news got a lot of coverage in international media. Even Reshma's cousin Jameel said that this attack was a part of increasing Islamophobia in London back in that time. A few weeks later of this horrifying incident, Reshma even shared her photos on social media. She was getting better at that time.
This news is an example of how wrong speculations against Muslim community starts trending without looking at the real story. There was no role of jihad in this news.
